Low impact small-scale forestry is an approach to woodland management that focuses on carefully working with the landscape to minimise damage to soil, habitats and surrounding ecosystems.

Our team regularly carries out forestry and arboricultural work that requires careful handling of timber and machinery, particularly in sensitive environments or areas where access is limited.

To support this type of work, we have invested in a 1.9-tonne mini digger fitted with a log grab, as well as a portable petrol winch. This equipment allows us to move and position timber efficiently while keeping ground disturbance to a minimum.

These tools are particularly useful for small-scale forestry projects, woodland management and arboricultural work where larger machinery would be impractical or cause unnecessary damage to the landscape.

By using the right equipment and a careful approach, it’s possible to carry out forestry work safely while protecting the natural environment and surrounding habitats.
