Cut Above Tree Services was founded by Joe Sivers, who retrained as an arborist after a career in project management, combining his passion for climbing and the outdoors with professional tree care.
After completing training at Plumpton Agricultural College, Joe established the business in Mid Wales with the goal of providing the highest standard of tree services in the local area.
Since then the business has grown through reputation and recommendations, with Joe continuing to develop his professional expertise and gaining over 18 NPTC arboriculture qualifications.
Our approach combines skill, experience and a genuine respect for the environment, ensuring every job is carried out safely, professionally and with long-term tree health in mind.

Cut Above Tree Services removed and pollarded our large oak tree. They came as arranged, prior to work. Commencing they confirmed our requirements. The work was professionally carried out. Unfortunately, two of the Ash trees in my hedge line were infected with Ash Dieback and had to be removed. I contacted Joe at Cut Above, who visited promptly to inspect the trees and provide a quotation for their removal to the top of the hedge line. His lead time to complete the work was several weeks, but the agreed-upon date for their removal was adhered to. The work was completed safely, and all the timber and branches were removed; the site was left clean. The price was competitive, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe and his team at Cut Above.
